GET INVOLVED

There are a variety of ways that you can get involved with the NAACP by allowing your skills to be used to help us further our mission to secure the political, educational, social, and economic equality of rights in order to eliminate race-based discrimination and ensure the health and well-being of all persons.

COMMUNITY MOBILIZATION

Enlists the support of other community organizations on issues affecting the interests of African Americans and other communities of color, and works to get community members involved with the NAACP.

COMMUNICATIONS AND SOCIAL MEDIA

Works to amplify the brand and messaging of the Lexington-Fayette NAACP and secure media coverage of events. Coordinates the presence of the branch on the website and social media.

FREEDOM FUND BANQUET

The NAACP Freedom Fund began in 1953 (on a national level) as a ten-year program to intensify efforts to complete the job of emancipation.


NAACP has kept the Freedom Fund tradition alive through Freedom Fund events hosted by various branches throughout the United States. 

This is our largest fundraiser of the year.
