DEAR FRIEND AND PROSPECTIVE SPONSOR,
We humbly invite you to join us by supporting the 2023 Flora D. Mitchell Freedom Fund Dinner as a Corporate Sponsor for the Lexington-Fayette Branch of the National Association for the Advancement of Color People (NAACP).
Founded in 1909, the NAACP is the United States’ oldest and largest nonpartisan civil rights organization. Our members throughout the nation and across the globe are the premier advocates for civil rights within our respective communities. From the ballot box to the classroom, the thousands of dedicated workers, organizers, leaders, and members who make up the NAACP continue to fight for social justice for all Americans. The mission of the NAACP is to ensure the political, educational, social, and economic equality of rights of all persons and to eliminate race-based discrimination.
This year’s theme for the 2023 Freedom Fund Dinner, “Our Collective Voice Is Power,” is a call to action for us to join together in a collaborative show of force and support as a community. This special event will take place Thursday, September 14, 2023, at Harper Hall, 177 N Upper Street in Lexington, KY. The evening will begin with a 20-minute meet and greet at from 6:00-6:20 p.m., with dinner being served promptly at 6:30 p.m.
