About the event

Voting Rights Allies,

If we want a Democracy, we’ll have to fight for it.  Now more than ever.  You can do something this Saturday 2pm-5pm ET to help.

We won the right to vote for 170,000 Kentuckians, but the state of Kentucky has not tried to reach out by phone or mail to let people know they can now vote.  You can fix that.

Saturday, we'll be calling 10,000 people with felonies in their past who recently won back the right to vote and we’ll be helping them to register.  We'll use a system called "CallHub" so you can use your phone and computer together to call people. We'll start with a group training to make sure you're comfortable with the script and system and we'll reconvene at the end for 10 minutes to report back. After you're set up with the system, you can do more calls whenever you want!

You can sign up for Saturday’s big phonebank here.

We’ll also be texting 5,000 people Monday evening to get them registered to vote through a computer program called ThruText.

If you want to join our big texting push, sign up here

We also have other upcoming events including local lit drops and tabling before the October 5th voter registration deadline.

If you or someone you know needs help figuring out if they got their right to vote back or if you’d like to sign the petition in support of voting rights, visit https://www.kentuckydemocracy.org/votingrights
